Chute Style Mailboxes - Enhanced Security
Chute system mailboxes are designed specifically to prevent mail theft. To help facilitate this goal, incoming mail is stowed deep within the lower cavity of the mailbox and cannot be retrieved by anyone without a key. Chute mailboxes protect mail by implementing a hinged panel that opens to the bottom when the front access panel is in the closed position. In addition, all chute style mailboxes provide a solid panel in front of the hinged chute that prevents foragers from accessing the chute release.
